Gerald Genta

Born in Geneva in 1931, Gérald Genta emerged in the 1950s as the most influential watch designer of his century, often dubbed “the Picasso of watchmaking”. His pen gave the world some of horology’s most iconic silhouettes, among them the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, the Patek Philippe Nautilus, and the IWC Ingenieur. In 1969 he founded his own house in Geneva, where his free spirit and taste for audacious shapes, octagonal cases, exposed screws, rule-breaking lines, finally found room for uncompromising expression.
Ever since, every Gérald Genta watch carries on that signature: audacious elegance, driven by an extraordinary creative legacy.
